Jahangir Hasan Masum
Executive Director
At Coastal Development Partnership (CDP), progress has never been something we do alone. When we began our journey 28 years ago, the challenges facing Bangladesh—and the world—felt different. Today, we face a landscape of increasing climate stress, rapid digital shifts, and complex development needs. Still, one belief guides us: real and lasting change must grow from the people who live with its impact. We don't just fight disasters; we build systems that can absorb climate shocks. It means raised homesteads, protected mangroves, and women control the resources they rely on without losing their dignity.
With decades of experience in climate justice, accountable governance, and inclusive development, he guides the organization in empowering communities and strengthening the resilience of vulnerable populations across the region. His leadership ensures that our systems, accountability, and knowledge drive justice-centred development for lasting change.
